With over 8 years of specialized experience in obesity and weight management, Mikel holds the title of Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM), driven by a passion for comprehensive transformation. Her academic journey includes degrees from the University of Florida and the University of North Florida, accompanied by accolades from Mayo Clinic and various awards.

The heartfelt gratitude expressed by patients and interns serves as the most meaningful recognition, affirming the positive impact she’s had. Beyond her professional pursuits, Mikel finds joy in outdoor exploration, particularly enamored by the Pacific Northwest since relocating from Florida. Indoors, she indulges in hard rock/metal, culinary experimentation, thrilling reads, and spends quality time with her mustachioed cat, Burt Reynolds.
